Halen has built a strong reputation, backed by a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from East Texas Baptist University and a master’s degree in Human Resource Development, with a specialization in Organizational Leadership, from the University of Texas at Tyler.  

 

By merging her passion for leadership and management with her desire to contribute to the educational field, Halen has forged a fulfilling career within TRIO programs.  Building upon her experience in TRIO programs at Kilgore College, she expanded her skill set by taking on project management responsibilities in the healthcare industry.  She successfully navigated a range of projects, from launching clinics to overseeing complex hospital operations.

 

Leveraging her experience in TRIO Upward Bound and grant writing within various TRIO programs, Halen now focuses on project management and proposal development as a consultant for NEC, as well as delivering presentations in our webinars.
